French Char B1 Bis - Trumpeter 07263
Faced with insurmountable odds, the French and their B1s stood against the dominating force of Germany in their homeland. Production on the B1 began in 1937 as an improvement to the 1920s Char B1 and featured a riveted hull mounted with a 75mm howitzer, as well as a 47mm tank gun. It was one of the heaviest tanks of the period, with 60mm thick plating protecting it from anti-tank firepower. It stood its ground against the German forces and struck fear into the hearts of those who crossed its large path. This model kit with 61 plastic parts faithfully recreates the French Char B1 Heavy Tank in 1/72 scale. The fully assembled model is 8.9cm long, 3.5cm wide, and 3.9cm tall.
